What to Expect on Your First Visit to Heerya

A clear walkthrough of the 30-minute consultation, what to bring, how Dr. Thukaram gives treatment plans, and the upfront-cost promise every patient gets.

How to prepare for your first visit

  • Bring any previous dental X-rays or treatment plans from other clinics if you have them. This saves repeat X-rays and gives Dr. Thukaram full context.
  • Make a short list of your concerns — a tooth that has been hurting, a crooked tooth in your child, a wedding date six months away, whatever brought you here.
  • Bring your insurance details if you want to discuss coverage. Not required to start.
  • Allow 30 to 45 minutes for the full consultation. Reception, examination, X-ray if needed, and treatment planning takes this long.

Your first 5 minutes

  • The front desk welcomes you and notes your basic details — name, phone, age, any medical conditions or medications.
  • You wait briefly in the reception area. We aim to see every appointment within 10 minutes of the booked time.
  • A dental assistant walks you to the consultation room.

What happens with Dr. Thukaram

01

Listening first

Dr. Thukaram asks what brought you in and listens to your full concern before looking at anything.

02

Examination

A full oral exam — every tooth, gums, bite, and any specific areas you mentioned.

03

Digital X-ray if needed

Not every consultation needs an X-ray. If yours does, it happens at the clinic in a few minutes.

04

Explanation

Dr. Thukaram explains in plain language what he sees — what is healthy, what needs attention now, what can wait.

05

Written treatment plan

You leave with a written plan listing the recommended treatment, number of visits, timeline, and fixed cost.

What the written plan includes

Every treatment plan we hand you includes:

  • The recommended treatment and why it is recommended.
  • The total fixed cost — not a range, not an estimate.
  • The number of chairside visits.
  • The expected timeline from start to finish.
  • The staged payment plan for larger cases.

Nothing is added mid-treatment. If something genuinely unexpected comes up, we tell you, explain it, and get your agreement before proceeding.

What you do next

Take the plan home. Discuss with family. Ask questions on WhatsApp if you have them. Come back when you are ready to start treatment — whether that is tomorrow, next month, or next year. We do not follow up with sales calls.

Questions about your first visit

No. Most patients leave with the written plan and come back a few days or weeks later. Some patients come back a year later. We do not pressure anyone to commit on the day.

Sometimes that is the honest answer — Dr. Thukaram will tell you if your teeth are healthy and nothing needs doing. You pay the consultation fee and come back for your next check-up in 6 to 12 months.

Yes. Family consultations are common. Let the front desk know when booking so we allow enough time.
